Cinco de Mayo We like to celebrate other cultures on our diverse little island, and this week it’s all about Mexican! Cinco de Mayo gives us a reason to celebrate all week. Most Restaurants around town including Senor Frogs are promoting Mexican culture with food and drink specials, and this weekend the Bahamas National Trust are hosting the annual Cinco de Mayo celebrations in the beautiful gardens at ”The Retreat” on Village Rd. This is a family friendly event with food, music and activities celebrating the Mexican way of life. There will be pinatas and educational activities for the children. Adults will enjoy perusing the unique art and crafts, while sipping a cold cerveza or a margarita while listening to Mariachis. Ole! (May 10-11. Adults $10, Children $5) Posted by Rachel Pinder on
