Unwinding after a long week is easy in Nassau. Enjoy live music, watch the big game or meet up with friends for drinks. There's so much to choose from you'll have trouble deciding exactly what to do.

Here's a roundup so some of the places you can unwind, from east to west:

Compass Point Beach Resort out west offers live music four evenings a week. This colorful landmark also has an oceanfront bar with more than 10 TV's where you can watch NFL, MLB, NBA and NHL games and college sports.

The Cricket Club Restaurant (opposite Arawak Cay on West Bay Street) is a lively British-style pub that serves up traditional British fare and Bahamian favorites. The balcony overlooks the Haynes Oval cricket pitch, and on Sat and Sun during the season you can grab a front row seat to a cricket match. If cricket isn't your thing, inside there's live satellite English premier soccer and rugby games as well as tennis and American football on the big screen TV's.

Happy Hour is Mon-Fri 4-7pm with two for one draught beers. Wednesday is darts night and on Thursday there's Karaoke from 8pm-12 midnight. Daddy Long Legs and Peter Peters perform live on Friday from 8pm-12 midnight, and New Breed on Saturday 8pm-12 midnight.

At Palm Cay Beach Club on Yamacraw Hill Road in the east, take in spectacular views over lunch, dinner or drinks. There is also live music, movie nights, wine tastings, and much more.

Stir it up at the Marley Resort and Spa on West Bay Street, Cable Beach is one-of-a-kind spot. Sip on signature cocktails at the mosaic cut-glass top and rich wood bar. Check the resorts website for regularly scheduled specials and entertainment.

Downtown Nassau has a selection of hot spots to choose from. There's Sharkeez Bar and Grill, where you can take in spectacular views of Nassau Harbour while enjoying tasty dishes and drinks. At Pirate Republic, located east of Sharkeez, local craft beer is their specialty.

Arawak Cay's collection of colorful restaurants and food and drink stalls feature delicious Bahamian delicacies prepared every way imaginable. Fresh conch and fish are a specialty, as well as Sky Juice, a delicious creamy concoction of fresh coconut water, milk and gin.

Whatever your mood, you're sure to find the right spot to unwind.
