So you have never been to a quiet Bahamian “Out Island?” Get the ‘out island experience’ right here on the island of New Providence! (Nassau is the old town, not the name of the island in case you did not know.) Take a leisurely drive past the airport to Coral Harbour, a lovely little residential fishing village on the south west coast. Need a quick fix for a growling tummy? Don’t worry, there is always a Peanut Man! And he is usually riding a bike and wearing a tam (a cloth wrapped around their head, or a crocheted hat, to protect their dreadlocks). Whether it’s in the car park, at the fundraiser, outside a bar, in the bar, at the Fish Fry, the cricket, at the hairdresser or by the stop light, he’s there! Peeeeanuts!
